Synopsis
And that night, as Fiona slept, once again - she was back at the old house on Richmond Street. Above her, dark clouds trembled with the sound of thunder, a cold wind sweeping in from somewhere she didn't know, picking up dead leaves, an owl tooting, a church bell ringing.
These sounds weren't scary. It was the house in front of her that made her feel afraid, for the house; she had once lived in stood out like a sore thumb. A single bedroom light - glowing yellow. In amongst the neighbouring house. Now barren, nothing but boarded-up windows, foliage-gone wild.
Staring at the old house, she knew the old man was waiting for her to come inside. She could sense him lingering and began to back away from that terrible place.
