Synopsis
It was common knowledge throughout the wizarding world: the Gaunt's were the last people alive who could claim direct lineage from Salazar Slytherin, and also, they were quite mad. Upon the deaths of Morfin and Merope Gaunt, Voldemort was supposed to be the last remaining Heir of Slytherin. Nobody questioned it, not even himself. But unbeknownst to everyone, there was another bloodline; the Stone's.
If Medusa Ivy Stone is used to one thing, it's secrets. At first, it was only her pureblood father forbidding her from telling anyone that she's half-siren, or that she can speak to snakes. That she could manage. But soon the secrets are piling up around her on every side, she finds herself struggling more and more to bear their burden.
When people start being petrified in her second year at Hogwarts, and whispers fill the halls of the Heir of Slytherin, Ivy doesn't dwell on it, more concerned for her friends than with gossip. That is until her classmates start to suspect Harry Potter when he reveals he is a Parslemouth. As the pieces fall into place in Ivy's mind, she discovers that she suddenly has a new secret to keep: she is a direct descendant of Salazar Slytherin.
One thing is clear: this secret is finally one too many, but not even Ivy knows what the consequences of the damn bursting will be. Will she wash away everything and everyone she's grown to love in the flood? Or will she finally be free to be herself without judgment.
J.K. Rowling owns the rights to all of the characters in this story, except for those of my own creation. Unlike J.K. Rowling, my characters believe that real feminists fight for trans rights :)
