Synopsis
Blood spilled from my mouth and stomach, the taste of iron mingling with each strained breath. Pain radiated through my lungs, but amidst the agony, I felt happiness. Standing over the lifeless body of my greatest adversary—the one who had ruthlessly robbed me of everything, the murderer of my family—I couldn't help but relish the moment. Was it wrong?
The man responsible for the devastation lay defeated beneath me, having eluded justice by disappearing into the shadows for ten long years . Yet, as I neared towards death , I found myself asking what was that pushed me so much . What force propelled me to sever ties with friends and loved ones, to embark on this perilous path? Was it merely the thirst for retribution, a yearning for the justice denied to a younger version of myself? Or did the burden of guilt, for being the inadvertent cause of my loved ones' demise, that spurred me forward?
In the end, did it truly matter? I had achieved my objective, hadn't I? The relentless pursuit had borne fruit, and yet, the pain persisted.
These ponderings, however, became irrelevant as death claimed me.
Whether heaven or some benevolent deity took pity on me, I couldn't discern. Instead of the expected flames of hell, because that is where I was going , I felt the gentle touch of sunlight. I awoke in a body not my own, having transmigrated into an unknown character from a book I had read and despised – "The Rise of Eldoria."
