Synopsis

Murderer. Deceiver. Defiler. You must burn.

Belkai Androva never saw herself as a queen. When she killed the demon that had claimed her soul and freed the elves of Narandir, she found herself thrown upon the throne as their lord. Her hope is simple; help the elves regain what they had lost, and live a life of peace with her new husband Davos. She is done with the violence that marked her former life.

But something is stirring in the world beyond. Villages are disappearing, and travellers whisper of foul beasts in the darkness. As the trail of blood draws closer to Narandir, Belkai is faced with the realisation that there is a price to be paid for the freedom that she has won. To survive, she will have to face her greatest fears in a hunt that will lead her beyond the borders of civilisation.
