Synopsis
I'm a scout.
It was what my father, and his father before him, were. My mother and grandmother, well, they were smarter and made it into the archer cohorts.
For as far back as the family can remember, everyone has been part of the legions. We would join up even without the required five years of compulsory service. By now, the Legions are so ingrained in us that it's practically part of our blood. Our heritage.
Not that we chose it. It has to be that way. The Legions are the only thing standing between us and the endless beastkin warbands invading the Realm. And if you don't spend your required time — and preferably a few extra decades — in the legions, they will find other ways for you to support the defense of the Realm, especially in the North.
So, like many of my legion brothers and sisters, human or not, I fight.I scout.
Except, the enemy is changing. Becoming stronger.
And for some reason, they feel scared. Just not of us.
