Synopsis

**In a time of violence, the strongest arise to do battle. In a sea of talents, the Legendary General System, with its ability to command great armies, and summon monsters, holds the edge.

The continent is at war. This is an era of conquerors. More bloody even than the Sengoku period of feudal Japan. The strongest of warriors fight for the Blessings of the Gods – each man seeks to be Blessed by the strongest of them. Never before has a man been Blessed by the God that chooses Vol.

In his first battle, he earns the Old God’s respect, unaware that none have been able to tolerate the Blessing before. He wakes up, thought to be dead, with access to future powers beyond his comprehension. All of a sudden, with the help of the System, he can progress faster – but that is not all the God has in store for him. Vol is pushed into the land of strangeness. He is made to lead, and he is given control of a dark power – the power to summon monsters.

In this Time of Tigers, great men seem to be sprouting out of nowhere. Warlords make names for themselves in battle. The impossible is achieved, again and again, as long as a man has the will to execute on it.

Vol was born with the talent – an inhuman strength, far above his age. Now he has the power, with the assistance of the System. His greed grows, bit by bit, and his will to conquer extends. One by one, the greatest of men are brought low by the hands of a young genius, wielding dark powers.
In such a time of change, there is opportunity even for the lowly. If he has strength, even a peasant could secure a name for himself – or even more. If he has the talent, his achievements could rival that of Napoleon, Genghis Khan or even Oda Nobunaga.

There are many paths open to a hungry man. Some look for the throne through coin. Others know the way of Command. Some are Swords. Others still look to pursue the natural laws, to infringe into the domain of the Gods themselves, as they look for their Blessings, and try to make the laws of progress and power kneel before them. Some mad men even give up their minds in the pursuit of a sense for mana.

Vol, even at fifteen, very much embodies the spirit of a conqueror. Raised as the younger brother of the legendary Jok the Dragon, Vol knows he is destined for a future of violence. With the help of his Blessing, he makes that destiny a reality.
