Everything seems peaceful in her life until...

Before her new life she had been being abused from her parents, she got rejected from her real mate, her parents almost killed her, she watched her second mate, a common human dying in order to save her, she fell in a coma from the pain, she became too vulnerable without a mate's bond...
With these memories bombarding her mind the hatred and pain that had been sleeping inside her heart wake up forcing her to stay strong, hide her real identity and try to stay away from the people that 'killed' her.
But...
How can she make it with her destiny having other plans for her?
From the other side Daniel, the current King rejected his mate while he was just the Prince. He had always been a womanizer, he never felt a real attraction for any woman but... Things change when his eyes land on Iris, the young, distant, serious, special warrior that for him acts more like a man than a woman...
The pull is strong, he feels a connection but he can't explain why or the reason behind Iris' avoidance.
So what is going to happen when Daniel finds out Iris' real identity by mistake and wants to keep his mate next to him without being willing to reveal his true intentions while Diana just wants to run away from him?
Who is going to win the battle for control with both of them being stubborn and strong? Daniel, Diana or her secret enemies?
Will Diana live to have her happy ending with a mate on her side?
